Al-Qasemi International Conference on: “State and Society in Islam”

The Islamic Studies Department – M.Ed Program organized an international conference on: “ State and Society in Islam” that was held on March 9, 2019.
The first session of the conference was opened by Prof. Wael Hallaq - Columbia University, New York. His lecture discussed Islamic Governance and Modern Knowledge. The moderator of the session was Mr. Ali Haidar – Researcher and Lawyer.
The second session was introduced by Prof. Mohammed Nekroumi - Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, who discussed the theological concept in his lecture, and Prof. Rasim Khamaisy – University of Haifa, who discussed the city in Islam. Then, Dr. Yousri Khaizran - Al-Qasemi Academic College of Education delivered a lecture on: “The Decline of the Philosophical Situation in Islam in the Middle Ages. "
The third session on ” Education in Islam” was introduced by Prof. Ednan Aslan-University of Vienna, who delivered a lecture on: “Educating Muslim Children for a Capacity for Plurality”, then Dr. Mahmoud Khalid – Al-Qasemi Academic College of Education delivered a lecture on: “Working Women in Islam”.
The fourth session on “ The Caliph and his subjects” was introduced by Dr. Faida Abu Much, Dr. Samir Kittany, and Dr. Awny Massarwi – AL-Qasemi Academic College of Education.
