The Department of Teaching Entry and Internship at Al-Qasemi Academy College has added another achievement to its list of accomplishments, which is opening the first local MIT within the ProMentors project. ProMentors in an Erasmus+ Project (KА2 – Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education) that aims to:
- improve the quality of teacher training through an efficient and sustainable mentoring system based on best EU practices with their mentees.
- advance the MIT (Multiplayer Induction Team) model for a new model of mentors training.
- facilitate the collaboration of mentors, new teachers, pedagogical guides, and the school staff, in the process of professional development of mentors.
Many people attended the opening event, including: Prof. Anwar Rayan-President of Al-Qasemi Academy College, Mr. Walid Majadli-Head of Education Department in the municipality of Baqa Al-Gharbiyya, Dr. Dalia Emanuel, coordinator of the MITs for Beginner Teachers – Ministry of Education, general and regional inspectors in the Ministry of Education, staff and students.
Dr. Samir Majadly – Head of Teaching Entry and Internship Department and the coordinator of ProMentors project thanked all participants and students for attending the opening event and wished everyone success and growth.
